A Sunday at the Sea

Hello, everyone!!!

I certainly did not intend to take a two month

bloggy-break.

This autumn, however, I started teaching

again after a year-long medical leave.

I was hired to teach 4th grade.

They called me at 6 o'clock on Sunday

- and asked me to start at 8 the next morning!

Needless to say, I've been a bit swamped

with "school-related" business.

Fortunately, I was able to take a little time off

this weekend.

My sister is in the United States - visiting from Australia.

My dad and sister came to spend the day

with me in Santa Barbara.

We went down and spent time at

Stern's Wharf.

It was beautiful - but that's a common occurrence here.

We popped into some of the cheesy souvenir shops,

but we spent most of of time outdoors.

We had a great visit...

and a great time by the sea.
