Movie Night Themed Slumber Party

I can't believe it.
My youngest child... my baby... has turned 13.
She is officially a teenager.  insert sad face :(

For her birthday, she decided to have a
"Movie Night"-themed slumber party.
The trays were used for dinner
and the polka-dotted plates were used for
birthday cake.

Of course, a movie themed party MUST have popcorn!

It really was a perfect theme for my daughter.
She is my performer:  singer, dancer, & actress.
My "shining star" is also friends with
many other talented girls.

So, we had this star craft as an activity for the girls.
They painted the stars gold
and then added glitter and other decorations
to make stars like those on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As the night went on,
the girls snuggled up on the couch and watched
a bunch of movies we had chosen from Red Box.
Of course, movie theater themed snacks were called for.

Coca-cola (and other sodas & beverages) were served.

Candy.  Of course!

In addition to "regular" movie-style popcorn,
we also had "Boom Chick A Pop".
According to the teenagers,
"...all the youtubers"
love this stuff.
So, we had to have it, too!

Snacks.  Snacks. Snacks.

We used mason jars with red & white striped straws
for water.
We also used them for orange juice
at breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast included pancakes, eggs, bacon, & muffins.
Everyone was sooooo full at the end of this party!
Fortunately, everyone laughed & laughed
all night and all morning.
It seemed like everyone had a great time.

Moreover, my daughter LOVED her party.
She had a wonderful birthday -
which is something she TRULY deserved.
I love her more than words can say.

    1. The stars were adorable and the girls really got into it. At age 13, they are teenagers - but they still enjoy crafts & games!

  5. My planner thought of every detail I could imagine and our wedding was so unique because of it. On our wedding day the party planner stopped by my hotel while I was getting ready to check in and just seeing her made me feel rest assured things would be great.

  7. Perfect theme for her! Glad everyone had a good time - it looks adorable. (Have I mentioned a time or 20 that you should write a party planning book?)
