Tablescape a la Provence

Today, I'm taking a little break
from showing you my laundry area makeover.
Instead, I would like to share a pretty tablescape
which I put together this week.

The inspiration for this tablescape came from a
fabulous bouquet of roses
that I found at Costco.
I LOVED the combination of yellow & red
(I have pops of yellow & red throughout my home decor).
The bouquet gave me the idea to host
a dinner in the style of Provence.

I began by laying the table with my burlap tablecloth.
Then, I rolled out my nubby burlap tablerunner.

At each seat, I placed one of my red & yellow placemats, "Poupees Yolande" from France.
This lovely pattern always makes me feel
like I am right back in Avignon in Provence.

 The plates are Pfaltzgraff.
The bowls were made in Italy - I Patrizi for Williams Sonoma.

The silver is Royal Danish and the crystal is Waterford.

Finally, I used dish towels from Ikea (79 cents each!)
as the napkins for the meal.
I rolled them up, tied them with burlap ribbon,
and added a small rope ball for decoration.
The red ticking stripe adds another little touch of France.

The roses and the candles (on holders from Pottery Barn)
added extra ambience.

All in all,
it made a nice atmosphere
for a special dinner with my family.

    1. Aahhhh! Thank you for your kind words. I was lucky to find such pretty roses at such a good price at Costco (and they are certified by the Rainforest Alliance, too).
      Best,
