Trip to La Jolla

It was spectacular!

Bestie D and I went on a little ladies' vacay

to La Jolla, California (pronounced "la hoya").

We had stunning views in every direction.

The temps were in the high 80's

and the sky & sea were crystal blue.

 I was in awe of the beauty of the place.

 La Jolla has a beautiful beachfront
where ocean life abounds.

 Right away, Bestie D and I saw a bunch of
California sea lions frolicking in the waves
right off the shore.

There was even a nursing pup and its mom
on the beach.  Aaawwww....

Bestie D and I agree it is a marvelous place!

La Jolla is right next door to San Diego,
and it is filled with cute shops and yummy restaurants.

We had breakfast at "Cody's",
which is a local favorite
(and gets high reviews on Yelp).

 Oh, yes!
My french toast with candied walnuts, strawberries,
and marscapone honey butter was divine.

After a wonderful walk along the beach
and a delicious breakfast,
Bestie D and I hit the shops.
I can't wait to tell you about
all of the fun things we saw!
