Santa Barbara "Bag-Lady"

I am getting ready to go on a little trip.

My hubby, kids, and I are going to stay

at my in-laws' vacation home on Balboa Island

- in Newport Beach, California.

As I am preparing to pack,

the big question is:

Which purse do I bring???

Okay.

I have to admit it.

I love handbags, totes, and purses.

I am a Santa Barbara "bag-lady".

 

Although I love all types of bags,

I don't have too many

(especially compared to some ladies I know).

Still, I adore them.

With three teenagers,

our family has to stick to a pretty strict budget.

So, when I am shopping

I gaze longingly at the lovely bags - from a distance.

Every once in a while,

I get to splurge a little bit.

In March, I received a gift card to Neiman Marcus.

I used it to buy myself a great new handbag.

 It was like Christmas day

when my package from Neiman Marcus arrived.

Inside was this pretty baby:

the Michael Kors jetset tote!

The inside has a ton of space

and loads of pockets & compartments.

I LOVE pockets in my purses!

It's pretty big.

This purse holds a lot.

(This is a good and bad thing.)

It's my favorite bag of the moment.

I've got a lot of Christmas shopping planned
 - since Balboa Island

is about 3 minutes away from
Newport's Fashion Island.

Do I want to carry this large purse around with me?

Probably.

Still, I have a few other purses I am considering.
