Yesterday (Sunday, 9/27) was the
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
in Orange County, California.
Bestie D has coordinated her company's
involvement in the event for the past 8 years.
I am so proud of her.
I feel fortunate that I was able to participate
in the event this year.
Helping with set-up and clean-up felt rewarding.
Walking with Bestie D and her mom was fun!
The event raises money - and awareness -
for such an important cause.
Breast cancer is a terrible and difficult disease.
I know several people who have been diagnosed.
Fortunately, they are ALL survivors.

Isn't October breast cancer awareness month? I'm trying to recall. I've known someone to beat breast cancer too. Any cancer is bad though. It's nice that you got to participate in the fund raising event this year.
